Josephine is a member of the education staff, leading school and public group tours of the National Colonial Farm and the Ecosystem Farm. She has also lectured on slavery in the Chesapeake, and continues to work to educate the public on the area’s history and culture. Josephine lives in the nearby Moyaone Reserve, and has lived in the D.C. area since 1970. She received her education from Oberlin (BA) and Columbia (MA, PhD), and taught art history at the University of Maryland College Park for 33 years. Her other interests include life coaching, gardening in the Moyaone community garden, cooking, co-managing the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center of Washington D.C. and keeping up with her Border Collie, Tango.Email Josephine at accofound@accokeek.org.
