A Mama cow

Rose came to the Accokeek Foundation in July of 2014 and serves as the Director of Development. In this role she directs the annual fundraising plan generating revenue and resources to support the mission and programs of the organization.

Rose began her career with nonprofit organizations as a summer intern for the American Red Cross. She has more than 24 years of experience in program and resource development, grant writing, corporate sponsorship, strategic planning, and volunteer management. Her professional experience includes facility management, education, and development with Hostelling International, volunteer and community development with Americorp and Volunteer Maryland, and resource and partnership development with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. She currently serves as a member of the College Park Advisory Planning Commission and on the board of the College Park Community Foundation. Rose has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland College Park and a Nonprofit  Management Certificate from the Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership at Georgetown University.
